Nitasha Gupta, MD

Dr. Gupta is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and glaucoma care. Her expertise includes refractive and complex cataract surgery utilizing the latest advancements in surgical technology, including laser-assisted cataract surgery and advanced technology intraocular lens implants. Dr. Gupta is particularly dedicated to providing innovative, patient-centered glaucoma care, with a focus on reducing or eliminating the need for daily eye drops through treatments such as in-office laser procedures, extended-release medication implants, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).

Dr. Gupta completed her undergraduate and medical education at Northwestern University as a part of the Honors Program in Medical Education. She went on to complete her internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago. In her final year she served as Chief Resident and was recognized by the Department of Ophthalmology for her excellence in patient care. Following residency, Dr. Gupta pursued advanced fellowship training in glaucoma and anterior segment surgery at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Dr. Gupta is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and Women in Ophthalmology.
