NITASHA GUPTA, MD

​Dr. Gupta practices general ophthalmology with an emphasis on refractive and standard cataract surgery. Her expertise includes routine and complex cataract surgery with experience and skill in the latest surgical technology including laser-assisted cataract surgery and advanced technology intraocular lens implants. Dr. Gupta provides a sub-specialty focus for glaucoma patients with a particular interest in offering "non-eyedrops" treatments including in-office laser treatments, dissolvable implants, and minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery.

Dr. Gupta received her Bachelor's and Medical Degrees from Northwestern University as a part of the Honors Program in Medical Education. She subsequently completed a medical internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago. In her final year, she was honored to serve as Chief Resident and was recognized by the Department of Ophthalmology for her excellence in patient care. She then completed a fellowship in glaucoma and anterior segment surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dr. Gupta is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and Women in Ophthalmology.
